I would guess if you called wheel to wheel and wanted a custom twin turbo motor to bolt directly into a Nova that made 1000 hp on pump completely dynoed, proven, and turn key, it would be about $35-40k.

I would also like to know, what would you charge If someone brought you a Nova W2W???
Ok, so $40k for the build and $2k for the Nova..

I'm sure there was chassis work done as well. I think the car would be worth $50k with the added benefit of "celebrity status"...

They should race it more... that car just screams to be driven!

LOL...I'm guessing you never looked at the build pics that showed all the chassis work.

I see where steve is coming from with the price. In todays day and age where flash is what counts..... that car look really bad! That is actually a pretty serious race car if you look what has all been done, but not many people car about that anymore.
But, slap some white shiny white paint on there, throw on some 19" wheels, and you have everyones dream car!!

The car has over 40,000 in parts cost and right around 1000 man hours to build. Building this car was like building a ship in a bottle, it sounds funny but we could not scratch the paint as it would be impossible to match. The body cost us 3000 dollars, and was worth every penny.
I have driven about 6000 miles this year testing parts and running Power tour and Drag week. We have over 150 hours just making the octane on demand work so I could run 20+psi at will, I find that a must. Manual brakes and steering, the car is a dinosaur and I love it! If a car is to be sold, it must have a price, but a cars worth has little to do with dollars to me.

You think it screams to be driven when you look at it, you should hear the voices in my head when I drive it!!

My first thought is:
When the Nova sells, what will he build next?

No, I did see but I have no idea what it all cost.. that's why I asked what the chassis and drivetrain cost..

Someone else through out the $40k for the drivetrain number..

I'm not saying it isn't a cool car, but it's value certainly doesn't lie in the car itself..

For it to fetch more than this at auction you need TWO people that really dig the car and see the value of the engineering/chassis/drivetrain.
