Seems like it's hard to make the top three when you're parked on that side of the exit throughway....LOL... Bob J.'s Cuda was over there last year and was "overlooked".

The thefts were a real bummer. I ran into the police early in the morning and they were unloading the blue Chevelle they recovered with the fuel pump switch that stopped the theives progress. I was sure happy to know all our stuff had GPS Snitchs in them. I knew they had not moved.
Shay, your car is bad ass and you got screwed. I was very impressed and think the car needs to hit some big shows. While I do not think anything could beat the 55 chevy that won ($$$$$$$$$) , your car was better then at least one of the cars up there and should have been in the top three. Congratulations on a great job! And I do not know if you know, but you beat both my buddies, Parson and Bruce 67 blue Chevy IIs, they tied for second.
In the meantime, I convinced my buddy to bring his 62 Corvette up, and hired my own assasin. Not only did he get a runner up for the Cup, but out of the 4 Prodigy built cars we brought, he was responsible for the only second place! We would have won all four classes if I would not have forced him to come, LOL! But taking second to a car like that , there is no shame, and he deserved it.
After the awards, we had a great time terroizing the cars. We got the Firebird on the track, but the track officials caught me with no shoulder harmness in the Vette just as we were heading out on the track. Man I was bummed! Over on the autocross, Jagarang did OK with the Firebird and Michael did some drifting / autocrossing in the Corvette and on his first time out got it to a 29.16. All four cars got photo seasions done or arranged (even the Goat, again, for the cover of Year Ones catalog), and our board friends at V8 TV shot the Corvette for the show. Thanks Kevin!
So, car thefts aside which can happen anywhere and are of no fault of the show promoters, The Year One Experiance is in my top shows shows to must attend! There is just to much cool stuff to do, cool people, and the souths most killer cars. I highly suggest marking your calendars for next year.

When he went to go look for his car however, IT WAS GONE! someone stole his cherry '87 Monte Carlo SS. I had a for sale ad for it up on Pro_touring.com. The ad is still there but something is wrong with the site and it won't comeup. It was silver w/burgundy interior and only had 41K miles. We live in South Carolina so it's not like we can go looking around for his car. Hopefully the Georgia State Patrol will have some luck, but we all have heard horror stories about how situations like these turn out. What really sucks is that this happened to the nicest guy. We all have the one friend who knows more about cars than any one person should, but still seems to be stuck in the 80's. He is the nicest guy that has always helped me out when i needed and I really wish there was something more icould do for him. If by some small miracle anybody sees or hears anything, please PM me or contact the Georgia State Patrol. I'll provide a link for pictures once the other site comes back up.
Oh, by the way he said the show itself was awesome.

I'd be willing to pitch in for a rent-a-cop next year at our motel.

It was the "etc" part that is going to run up the cost... and I was just guessing on the $$$ figure. They were obviously not professionals. As they must have been thrashing to figure out why it wouldn't start they damaged the dash, gauge cluster and hood/fender when it looks like they slammed it shut... Just a messed up deal.

Anyone that goes on Power tour withourt a GPS Snitch and a security system is tempting fate. That is why we hired security last year. For $20 a piece we could all sleep knowing Barney Fife was watching our toys.

People on power tour usually hang out in the parking lot of the hotel until 3 A.M. In all the years of being on power tour I have only heard of one car getting stolen.
