Who cares if it won't sell, unless you have plans on selling it. I say paint it whatever color you want. My truck will be blue and thats about the only thing I haven't changed my mind on since I started my project. Isn't the whole reason behind building a car to make your own, to build something different?

Sorry but I disagree with the blue not selling...I know of some blue higher dollar cars that sold no problem. I'm sure a red camaro or 32 Ford would sell in a heartbeat...but blue cars sell to guys like me that love them.

I have no intent of ever selling this car, it will go to my son and actually is already stated in my will that it is his. Any projects after this car could be sold...but this one is special.

I like all colors, but have to admit some of my favorite camaros have been blue. Red would look nice and we were thinking of going with it a while back, but have changed our minds. My wife said either silver or blue and that's it.

Today I still like the C6 Z06 blue....

Good progress Anthony, and go with what you want, it's yours. Beside, blue is a good color, not like you are trying to paint it some god awful color.

FWIW, it would look basically like this..but with no front bumper, no front spoiler and probably stock mirrors...think Red Witch! This is a rendering I had done years ago, I guess you could say I've gone full circle, color wise.
Blue, IMHO is becoming the next Red.

Anthony,

A Midnight-styled blue would be good. I figured it was going to be run-of-the-mill medium blue. Everyone has a medium blue of some type. Kind of a "safe" color IMHO.

My choice would be a Carbon color. Almost black, but when it is in the sun, the edges on off-angle sections of the car will be a dark metallic/pearl gray.

Here is a "similar" example from a '72 Chevelle. That is not 100% what I mean, but it's the closest I could find...

Great progress Anthony. I'm jealous. As for paint, I'm an odd one. I think you should copy the C4 GS paint scheme. Blue, with the white stripe, and the red stripes on the driver's fender...... Then again, I sniff exhaust fumes a little too often.

Probably go with a dark blue with gray rally stripes, just a suggestion.

Thanks for the concern...but the motor is , well, beyond just doing bolt ons.

But I do agree the LSx is a way better motor to start with...just a little too late for this build!

Dropped of the SF tonight for media blasting and will have it back by weeks end. Can't wait to have it painted and reassembled!
