You should put some small Gurney flaps at the leading edge of the cutouts to help create a more effective low pressure zone. Nothing big, maybe 1/2-3/4" tall would make a big difference.
The hood is finished and painted a satin black until I can have the whole car painted. It may get louvers, a screen or stay open where the air travels up and over the hood. Testing will help determine that in the future. I'm very happy with how it turned out.
Not quite as 'exciting' as the hood but still another piece of my puzzle is the trunk lid. The old steel lid had to have the latch cut out, and the spoiler was molded in and starting to separate from the steel. I opted to go all glass and have the spoiler built in to the lid again.
