Thanks for thinking of me ... been busy with work, traveling and conducting sonar surveys on our lakes and reservoir .... and taking Statistics 511 from CSU to count towards my Master's program which I should be enrolled in 2014. Been awhile since I had homework due ... and STATS no less

Should slow down after finals week in Dec and I should get back at it hard before the next class starts in Jan ..... Stats 512

NEVER TOO OLD TO LEARN!!!!

Thanks
Michael

Smile Still here!

Finally Thanksgiving break is here no more Statistics for a week, so I worked on the car ... didn't feel like thinking so I got to work on the bottom of the car. Got to the forward spring brackets and ran outa steam and discs ... I'll get the rest later. Came out nice and clean ... unlike me

Oh yeah, I made a bracket outa 3/16 Al for a led brake light for my dual sport... the one that came with the kit had 10 leds and fit the contour of the fender and 6 had gone out already. For safety I put a 24 led light meant for trailers and such and now I have retina burning brake and tail lights May need a 3rd revision to smooth out the corners.

Mo better now!

Couple dents I need to pound out.

This is a cool pix.

Version 2 of the bracket.

Thanks for looking ... have a Happy Thanksgiving!

To what address do I send your plane ticket Chief?

I will have a full box of rolocs ready and waiting if you want to get some more thoughtless therapy under my Camaro.

Actually, again you inspire me with your work. On that note, rather than prolonged procrastination I am about to place an order for rolocs, thin cutoff wheels and some spot weld cutters. I get a nice price with a local tool vendor so no driving and they should be delivered tomorrow.

Actually that is the root cause of my OCD.... a clean ship is a happy ship, right?

I thank you for the invitation, however, it's the pride that you did the work yourself and I would not want to deprive you of that pride, no would I?
Thanks thou ...

I bought this 2001 Honda XR650R in '03 and have 8 years on her with a little over 15,500 miles on her ... would not trade the rides I have for anything. I mainly use it for commuting and going from pavement to dirt for fishing expeditions.

Thanks ... no worries about the floors, she's solid. Now to work on getting the AMD side cowls to fit and welded in ... just have to get the insides sand blasted first and then POR'd.

Thanks .... there is more to come!

OK ... I am back, STAT511 is over and I need to get going on my car before STAT512 starts in Jan.

Just thought I would put a picture of my dad's car on my post and some history... or as I remember!

The car is a 1963 Studebaker Lark 4 speed, 289 ci. with the R-2 option which was a Paxton Supercharger addition. Seems the 1964 Avanti would have this option and the powers to be decided to option this R-2 to those in 1963 to get publicity for the Avanti.

I can remember dad starting the car with a can of ether and man did she move, remember speed limits back then were 75 and I can remember 90 cruising all day on the interstate. My Grandmother lived in Albuquerque and we would take the 5 hour trip up to visit quite often, and she had a Champagne 63 4 door for the kid's to ride in when we were there visiting. Grandma sold her Studebaker for a 72 Mercury Comet and gave the car to us to drive, the Comet is what I remember driving.

My dad sold the Lark back in 74 or 75 to make a payment on the land, just as my brother and I were coming of driving age Anyway, the buyer still in Silver City, seems he owned a car dealership back in the day and my brother asked if he had any pictures of the Studebaker. This is the only one known to my family.

My sister made copies of this picture and gave me one during Thanksgiving weekend ... which is pretty cool.

Now time to heat up the garage and get to work.

OH ... my brother still owns the Comet!!!!!!!!
