Looks great. I like the choice on changing color on the wheels also. Hope you get it worked out.

I have gone out and flogged it a bit at that boost, and that didn't seem to help, in fact it was after that, that the car started smoking out the drivers pipe. I'll probably go out and beat the living crap out of it tomorrow, because if I gotta pull the engine I've got very little to lose............

Jody

Heck yeah flog it HARD! Sounds like your just running on the wastegate spring, crank that thing down tight and give her heck... I hope it's just a matter of seating that ring. I'm itching to see video of the beast in action.

Give that man a prize.. plus I shoot for Super Chevy. Only Fords and Mopars are outside my realm

thanks again. I pulled the plugs on that side of the engine, all spotless, no oil. Did a leakdown (cold) and all were 5-6%. Pulled the valve cover and all seals are intact and accounted for.

Not sure what it is, but I'm going to put some miles on it and see what happens. Only smokes at idle, and only after you stop for 15-20 seconds or so.

It also will only make 10 psi of boost. The wastegates are set at 13 psi (springs) so I'm confused on this one too.......... It has a manual boost controller that worked fine with the other motor. I've checked the lines several times as well as the controller (with compressed air) and everything looks fine. Even switched the lines around, but it made no difference. These are Tial 44mm units.

Drove the car into town, runs fine. Never got over 190 degrees, never missed a beat. Did find myself timing lights so I wouldn't have to stop for long though..................
