I'm not sure about the 'insane' part, well maybe it is a little. The car is along way from Tracy's but it's all about the planning.
Most people don't know what to say when they see it and they don't know what we changed either.
I'm not a big pound my chest look at me kind of guy.
The pictures are out there, at least a few anyway.
Rodger even has them hosted on his site.

On the story side...
When we, (my good buddy and I) delivered the car to Ironworks he told me he remembered going to Boyscouts in that car. And in high school the car was the fastest street car in town (maybe that was a stretch it was the fastest car in town as being undefeated, the car had a reputation (not me the car))

Now I remember this car on Rodger's site... wasn't there a badass red rendering done for this car?

I have friends who have had cars in magazines, on covers, and given promises that never came true.

A few things that they told me when getting serious with my truck;

1. Have a REALLY well thought out plan. If you want a cover, you may have to go more wild, so you have to set a goal and figure out what it takes to get there.

2. Don't half-ass anything. If its worth doing, its worth doing right. Spending that couple extra hours or couple $$$ all adds up.

3. The car has to "work" and by that they mean that it has this theme that carries through whether it be clean and simple, or off-the-wall.

4. Have as much information about the car and its parts available at all times. Know your car and the parts that are on it, why they are on it, and what goes into them. You don't have to be an engineer, but don't let people think that you only know how to write checks either...

5. Sometimes its the luck of the draw, but in the end, you need to build the car your way and how you like it. If it gets some exposure, great, but its not the end of teh world if it doesn't...

Get in touch with the magazine people, and be prepared to travel.

It's not so much the car, as we've all seen less than average cars in magazines, and on covers.

*Sigh*

Don't get me started on the issues I've had getting this thing set up with the owner. I've been frustrated to say the least. I can email the details if you're interested.

I've been promised (keyword there) that it will be set in the next week or two.

I hope so, snow is coming!!
