Glad to see you making progress. Can't wait to see it in color. Good luck!

Default Asphalt Cowboy Build Update!

So I haven't updated my build thread for a while. The last time It was on the rotisserie and the car is back together now. I took it to Collins Muffler in Loveland Colorado and had 3 inch exhaust installed. I have spent the last 2 doing the jams on the car. I have the doors and fenders back on and lined up. I am using Cromax paint on it. It is going to be a mazda Solar red effect. It is a tri-coat, I worked in a dealership bodyshop and have dealt with tri-coat paints, I was hesitant to go with it, I haven't done a complete paintjob since 04,, I was a little gunshy to say the least. However when I did the jams everything sprayed out very nice. So I plan to spray it this week.

Travis ... that's a great looking color, you spraying the car yourself?

Hey, how did the raptor bed liner come out? Is the Eastwood chassis paint holding up as you planned?

More pics when you can ...

Michael

Yes I will be painting it in one of my friends shops. If you look at the mazda dealership down there in Ft Collins there is a red on there new cars that is the color we are going with (Wife picked it). The raptor bedliner kit is the way to go for a guy that is doing it himelf. I like the texture of it, It's simple to mix and spray. The eastwood paint seems pretty good so far. I will try to post up some more pictures through the week. Been working on it everyday for the past two weeks. Thanks for the compliments
