well, after aligning the car ran into a huge snag; the front wheels will not work. I used a 17X8" with the largest bs they offered at 4.75" but it's a no-go with the 245/45 tire. This combo works great on a Camaro, but not the early Chevelle.

So I once again called Frank at Prodigy/GP Superstore and he just happened to have a set of wheels with the proper offsets to work with the car. I'll post pics once I have them on the car. He assures me I'll love them.................. I'm like Thanks Frank, this was a deal buster as far as making Power Tour.

It is always something...

What wasn't working, tell us. We are so many following this and are behind you so we want to know more. I guess they hit something when turning. What specs will the new ones have.

Keep up the spirit, you'llmake it.

the mistake was that Mark Stielow had used a 17x8" with 5.25" bs and the wheels I bought offered a max of 4.75". I swapped to AFX spindles that got .300" or so back, but I was still 1/4" or so further out, and it flat won't work. The tires are rubbing at 15 degrees of wheel turn, which isn't much, even with 1 degree of camber....

Gentlemen, Jody is getting our newest and new favorite wheel! That's all I can say for now. I cannot wait to get them on this car! Sick I tell ya, absolutely sick! He gets the first set and if I could choose a car to debut them on, this would be it.

Jody, this nightmare wheel thing is going to turn into a dream you did not know you had.

Stay tuned guys!

Thanks for trusting us Jody.

I told Jody that he shouldn't post any pics of the wheels until they are mounted so we can get the maximum shock and awe factor.

The wheels are bad.
