I got the cluster fabrication finished and its ready for build primer.

We got the sub frame connectors welded in and shot with under body coating. They are 1 1/2" x 3" and 42 3/4" Long.
Now I have a place to run and mount the fuel lines.
I kept having to put the spray can down because its kind of fun undercoating. Just kept reminding myself it should be getting bead blasted next winter.

Also made a little whole in the trunk. Going to weld in a plate and then mount the fuel cell underneath the car so I retain the capacity of putting 3 bodies in the trunk. :2thumbs:

Trying to find someone in the area that can bead roll my metal for the trunk.

Well I haven't be able to work to much on the car because I've been tasked with assistance in putting the body panels back on a 31 Chevy.

I did get the fuel cell and welded the hole shut in the trunk floor in preparation for mounting the tank.

Needless to say it was a good experience in filling large gaps and welding from thick to thin metal.
When the frame off resto happens I will replace the whole panel with a flat sheet of metal.

Also swapped the steering wheel over and test fitted it to make sure the steering wheel adapter worked and didn't set the wheel out to far.

Most of the fuel system is in and the rest of the hot side piping is on its way here.

Here is what my fuel system consists of.
Its amazing how fast little $8 parts add up.

We finished the piping and mounted the turbo last night. :durka:

Going to have the X02 50mm gate come off the pip just below the flange and then route it right back up into the 3 inch down pipe.

After getting it mounted the turbo looks extremely small...
But all the calculations say it should work just fine. The only issue i can potentially see is having to upgrade the exhaust housing from a .68 to a .96 so it doesn't build boost until later in the rpms so I can do 70mph down the freeway without being in boost.

Time will tell, now on with the pics.

Cool, it's coming together. What do you have left?

I would be easier to answer what I don't have left to do.

Need to install the gauges, mega shifter, temporary bucket seats, finish running the fuel system, oil lines to and from the turbo, vaccuum lines to BOV and gate, build the blow through carb, make the cold side piping, clean up fix and install the steering colum, install a 6AL-BTM, wire up everything and then tune.

I'm sure I missed a few things in that list.

Once thats all done and the bugs are worked out then its time to rip it all apart for the bodywork and paint phase.
