Been super busy and haven't had time to touch the car. Tomorrow is work on car day.

Thanks Vince, not going to use firewall plate. My intention is to have working heat and defrost in this one.

A little more progress today. Installed driver side header, mounted the radiator, power steering pump, and belts. Installed distributror, spark plugs and wires.

Still waiting on Autometer gauges that I ordered before I fire it up. Also need to mount coil and MSD box and then pick up some pretty wire looms and an air cleaner.

Yeah it is. How'd you guess? I'm also running an NYES aluminum small block in my Orange '69.

My new center console showed up last week and I wanted to be sure the new Corbeau seats wouldn't conflict with the center console so I set them in place. Looks like everything should fit fine.

I also picked up a Covans dash insert so now I need to make the decision of putting gauges in dash or console gauge pod.

I'm surprised not a whole lot more people out here haven't heard about them. I had some oil leak issues with the first motor they sent me but I sent it back on their dime and so far I'm really happy with it.

LOL, yeah, I'd love to, only my gauges haven't showed up yet and I want to be able to monitor oil pressure and water temps.

I was told they should show up the week of the 26th so hopefully I will be able to fire it up then.

I've got my kids baseball games today but tomorrow I'm going to try and mount the MSD box somewhere under the dash and mount the coil either on the intake or bolt it to the firewall. I still need to secure down the thermostat housing but I'm waiting on temp gauge. If I install housing first it might interfere with temp sending unit that I will be installing in the front of the intake since the spout for the thermostat housing
is bearing a hard right.

Just busting your chops Tracky.. The water neck should clear the water temp sender at least from what it looks like in the pic.. Car is looking good
