Default Update

Well not much fab progress, but we did bring home some new members of the project. New front fenders, cowl induction hood, front bumper, and complete new bed sheetmetal. Gotta love parts!

Time to get at it!

Default A Few More Updates

I have been working on some more details of the chassis on the computer. Shop work will probably start back up after Christmas.

Some Rust Repair:

Some more metalwork:

Well it's still moving along but man is it slow. If I could only forget about all of my other responsibilities, I might get something done!

Thanks Josh. You going to leave the drive train in it? LOL

Well we havn't made any more progress in construction, but we did get some more parts. It was a coooold winter here in SW PA. We didn't get the furnace in the garage before the cold snap, so it was into the basement to finish it. My twin girls toys are going to run me out of the house. LOL I hope to get back in the garage in the next couple weeks. Anyway here is some of the new stuff:

New Strange Aluminum Center Section, 3.89 Gear, Tru Trac, 1350 Chromoly Yoke, Daytona Aluminum Bearing Support. I love it.

Moser 31 Spline Axles:

This is a tool I designed and had built for checking wheel fitment. And I didn't copy the one Marty has. Honest, I had this one drawn before I found out there was one on the market.

It's still progress, but slow!

Later,

Unfortunately not yet. I am still trying to finish up my basement and my Dad is finishing remodeling a bed room for Mom. He's getting reved up again. He is working on a fixture to lift the cab with an engine hoist. I'm hoping to get back on it in May. What's going on with your project? I havn't seen any updates either. Thanks for checking in.

Later,

Thats a bumber! I was hoping you had the truck done by now . Well i ran into a small problem. I didn't have enough $ to finish the truck they way i wanted. Do you remember my other build from the 67-72 truck forum? I bought all the stuff (shockwaves, 4link, and so on) for the other build and then when i found the c5 drivetrain i put all that stuff in storage. So i decided to build another truck using all those parts that i already paid for and try to get it completed by the end summer so i can sell it and use the money for the c5 truck. I know that sounds kind of crazy but it was the only way I could finish my truck without getting into debt. Good news is that i should have the frame and suspension completed by the end of next week. Talk to you later
