Thanks bro, more to come soon.

I mounted and wired the MSD 6AL box and Blaster 2 coil yesterday. Also wired up the one wire alternator and ran new battery cably to trunk area. Going to pick up wire looms and air cleaner today.

Made a phone call and my Autometer Sport Comp gauges should be showing up tomorrow. If my day work doesn't get in the way I should be firing the motor up this week.

Got the pretty little wire looms put on today along with the new air cleaner. Hooked up the battery and turned the lights on to make sure I got power to the car. So far so good. Went to turn the ignition switch and got nothing.

With a little help(Thanks Vince)realized I either need to bypass or install a neutral safety switch. Well, since this car is up for sale I dont want to take any short cuts so I ordered the neutral safety switch.

Wont be long now!!

glad to hear you got it together....is the neutral safety on the clutch pedal or at the base of the steering column?

happy to see the plug wires loomed too.

I ordered the whole kit from Steve's Camaro's. From what I understand so far is that This will be a clutch operated neutral safety switch. The switch bolts some where around the steering column and the purple wires tie in at the switch. I believe the switch has a lever on it. A rod attatches to the clutches upper arm and the lever on the switch. When you push the clutch in the rod attatched to the upper clutch arm and lever move forward activating the ignition when the clutch is pushed in.

Not sure this will work But give it a try. See where the red arrow is pointing just in front of the key..

grab a hold rt there and turn that clock wise until it stops if ...it moves at all,, you may have to hold it ) and try your ign again. I have had that slip counter clockwise and the Ign does nothing. I had this issue when I had automatic Camaros without the OEM shifter or converted to a stick

Accelerating is optional...........stopping is mandatory. Your car WILL stop one way or another.

I hear ya brother, thanks. I just finished installing the neutral safety switch. What a major pain in the f'ing ass. Good thing I didn't have the seats bolted in.

Going to finish wiring it up tomorrow and if all goes well (I know I've said this before but....)I should be firing it up tomorrow.

Got the Camaro fired up today but looks like the used carberator I picked up needs some work. I still need to install rear drop leafs and the rest of the center console parts dont show up until Oct. 5th.

Gonna have my buddy Vince at Dreamspeed help me out tomorrow so I'm taking the car to his shop to work on some details.
