There are only a few times that a car guy doesn’t mind staying late at work. For me, this is one of those times. Up until today we’ve been teasing you by posting parts that are pretty cool. From here on out, I’ll be posting the really trick parts. Not just trick, but parts that have features you haven’t seen on anything other than maybe a one-off, fully custom car. Tonight I get to post the first of what Chris calls ‘magic’ parts. These are the parts that make me love my job and get me excited!

Here's a first look at our new billet aluminum spindle and bump-steer kit. CLICK HERE to go to the new products intro page and read a little more detail. Click on any of the pictures on the website for a super high resolution image. I’ll post two tiny pictures below.

Stay tuned, next week I'll post information on the 14" and 15" Wilwood and Baer brake kits that are available for this spindle.

Could I perhaps use this with my TCP front suspension to use Corvette brake packages? Mount the TCP UCA upside down to make clarence for rims wider than 8" ? I was about to order an Aussie made drop spindle to do this, but if this can be used on my Mustang for the same result, I'm like Been looking all over the interwebs for a spindle/upright like this.

fvike-
This does really look like a great spindle. If Chassisworks says this won't work, take a look at Cortex Racing/Engineering. They have a very high tech spindle, bearing pack set up also that is supposed to fit many applications if the Chassisworks does not.

Which radiator will work?

I've had a look at the CorteX racing spindle, but at $3.250, you're halfway to a complete new DSE Aluma-Frame front suspension. It's just to expencive for a pair of uprights. Hell, LG Motorsports sells a kit of four C6 drop spindles for $2.995.
Edit: CorteX spindles are $2.995/pair for street version.
(Sorry for the tread takeover)

I'm Carl, Chris is just the guy with his name on the building....and my paycheck.

This spindle fits all Chassisworks gMachine front suspension systems so it will work with our bolt-in Camaro and Nova subframe clips and our a-arm crossmember. The crossmembers are available in multiple widths with components to match and maintain the geometry. For instance, I have customers who have put them in Mustangs, Mavericks, Tri-5s, 50 Merc, 69 Charger and more. Those are the people who I can remember off the top of my head, there are tons more. You could put it in almost anything with a little bit a fab skill. Chip Foose has used them on at least one car and there was a tricked out Ford econoline pickup that used one.

I will be going posting the brake packages that are available a couple days into next week.

The CDS front mount supercharger drive would require running dual radiators on a stock Camaro. There will be a rear/side mount version available sometime next year.

Thanks Jason! Everyone has been working very hard. I think I will be there this year and I look forward to meeting you. If I don't make it, Chris Sr and Jr will be there as well as Steve Collins - the guy who...well I'm not allowed to talk about what he is working on yet.

Will you guys be posting full dimensional data on those uprights ? What kind of prices ?

I can understand if you aren't interested in releasing the data, but that's what I would need to consider using them in custom applications.

Hi Preston, there will be a product data sheet released on Wednesday that will have more specs. I'm not sure if it will have pricing or not at this time although I can say that they will be extremely competitive.

Time for a brake components update!

The new gStreet billet aluminum spindle is available with 14” and 15” rotors! Think about that for a second. The 15” rotor might have a larger diameter than your car’s factory wheel. For size comparison we grabbed a large pizza box and tried to fit the rotor inside. No dice -the rotor is bigger. The new gStreet billet upright not only has a larger unit-type bearing and a trick bump-steer adjuster; it has massive brakes!

In addition to the new rotors we’ve added additional caliper options. You can now get Wilwood’s W6A six piston caliper in a nickel finish with ThermLock pistons and three different pad compounds. ThermLock blocks heat transfer from the pads into the pistons and significantly reduces the temperature of the fluid and caliper seals.

Also, we now offer a Baer caliper option- the 6S caliper. It’s available in black, red or silver and will work with the 14” or 15” rotor.

For more in depth detail, CLICK HERE to download the product data sheet. CLICK HERE for a brief overview of all the new components released so far.
