Is it still on the original set of rotors and pads?

Yes it still has the pads and rotors it was built with in 2008. The Carbon Brakes wear great when you’re not always beating the crap out of them. So far I have used up half the pads on Hellfire. But that car has had around 3 hours of very hard track miles. On the Z/28 we can go 5 tank fulls of fuel on track before we need pads. (We test tank of fuel at work fill the tank and go flat out until it is empty - about 42 minutes in a Z/28) The rotors will last for about 30 pads changes.
On Hellfire I used the Corvette ZR-1 brake booster and master. There is a Bosch booster is tuned for the ZR-1 (Look it up in Service Parts). I like the brake feel of the OE booster and master. I have also failed many aftermarket booster.
The Carbon Brakes will work fine without ABS. They work a lot better with ABS. I have the Bosch ABS system and I know of a Conti and Dephi system that will work also. The Bosch system is their motorsports system and is very expensive, but gives you a laptop interface and works flawlessly with the Brembo CCM brakes. The Conti race system is available but still not adjustable (One guy had it at the OUSCI this year). The Dephi system is very limited and not commercially available.
Because the Bosch system is designed for racing I never had a drop out on Hellfire. Once it was working it worked. I'm so confident in the Bosch sytem that on JA2.0 I plan on running it and not installing a prop valve as a fail safe. On my other cars I set the base brakes with a prop valve then turned on the ABS. I don't feel I need to do that.
