We rigged up a temporary pump relay to prime the fuel system and adjust the fuel pressure regulator.
Found a bad AN fitting that caused a very slow leak. Will be ordering a new one today.

The pump is definitely audibly noticeable, but holy crap does it move fuel!

Finished a few other small items.

Its a good thing we made a list. It actually feels like something is being accomplished when you can cross items off.

I've read a couple posts of A1000's issues, but a lot more with people saying they run them and haven't reported any issues.
Who knows what the actual failure rate on them is. If it was high enough to be a concern I don't think they would be as widely used.

Time will tell, If it goes out I will probably switch to the Magnafuel I was originally looking at.

ITS ALIVE!!

lots of things had to happen in the past week to get it going by today since my buddy goes under the knife tomorrow to fix a torn ligament in his arm.

We need to get the timing figured out and the carb rejetted.
Right now we have vent tube extensions in and are running 68/76 jets.

Have to ease into the throttle or it loads up. The 318 isn't so happy with the 750 cfm carb until it gets up in the rpm's.

Here is my buddy taking it for a drive.

Its pretty freakin cool when the boost builds and it starts to haul ass.

The work continues.
At least I can now say that I probably have the only turbo'd Dodge Dart in Minnesota.

Awesome. What's the next step? Getting the tune dialed in? When does it start building boost?

Yep its all about tuning right now.

We just took it out to break in the turbo a little and do a systems check to make sure everything was working.

It was damn fun to drive. I can't wait until its tuned to see what it will actually do.

We were seeing 5-6lbs of boost, at what RPM i'm not sure. By the time it picked up and took off I was driving it through an S curve.

Took the car out to work on the tune a little more.
I have to learn how to drive with a large mechanical secondary on this 318.

Its quite fun to blow the tires off at 25mph.
Its also a riot to stab it in second and get INSTANT set me back seat of the pants pull.

Its hitting 5psi at ~3000rpm, which is full boost right now.

Saving for a MSD 6BTM so I can get this thing tuned in properly.
