Very cool stuff.

But I must say I am not a fan of the color of that tow hook. What is that? Magenta?

Red. If you couldn't tell I'm not really building a show car here. Last thing I need is some idiot track worker using my front bumper or control arm as a tow point. I'll also be adding tow hook stickers. May seem silly but its required at nearly any track event you do. Without a tow point, they're going to use something stupid and screw up your car.

I can unscrew the hook for street duty.

Your car is coming along really well. I am also curious to see how the new stuff works out for you. I bet with the new steering your going to feel much better at the end of each session now.

As for the tow hook, well it's pink.
But I do get the importance of a track worker needing to see it quickly.

I've seen more damage done by "The Hook" than the driver did so I also have tow hooks now. The front one is pretty noticable, but the rear is kinda low.

I've been looking for "TOW" stickers I like, but haven't found any. What I really want is something like the bubble letters from the "MOD" era. If you come across anything like that let me know otherwise I'm going to have them made for me eventually but they'll cost more that way and I'll probably take them off a lot. My front and rear hooks are also easily removable and you can't tell where they were.

Dane, cool stuff man. It's like Xmas coming early... Awesome that Guldstrand did the work and then signed the glovebox door.

Sweet man....I'm getting ready to add a front tow hook to mine. That's in the top 5 of things to do. I'm going to water jet mine and have it come out between the spoiler and front facia. I also put two hook on the rear shock plates.

I like where this car is heading. Very nice. I would leave that tow hook on 24-7. Looks sick to me. The best part is you are driving your car instead of wiping it down with a terry cloth all day. It seems like when you see the over the top cars in the mags, they never seem to list their road course or autocross times. Keep us posted.

I don't know what kind of runoffs the tracks have have where you guys are, but the track workers are not going to dig under your car in a sand trap (especially if you're no longer on the scene) to look and see if you have a tow hook on a shock plate. They'll just grab the bumper and pull.
