Thanks John, here are a few more.
I am replacing the SS rear lower control arms with the updated ZL1s. This will allow me to run Pfadt Racing new ZL1 bars. While I'm waiting for the bars, I felt the GM arms just weren't up to par.
You can see in this picture where the lines are all jagged. I used the blue pin striping tape to outline the amount being removed.
You can see it was also covered with splatter.
And had these machine markings on the sides.
Well, after some sanding and some more sanding, we got them smooth.
Here's a quick comparison of before and after. You can see it's now more symmetrical.
Perhaps the fabricators on here can help me with this one.
This is the rear trailing arms package I will be using from Pfadt Racing.
I was toying with the idea of making some cut outs on the control arms to replicate the Pfadt pieces. I did this quick deal to get an idea.
My concern is I don't want to weaken them to where they will flex. One idea is to box them or perhaps create filler pieces for the cut out. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
