I had a blast up there, love that place as well. My hope is to be back up there this coming Labor Day again.

I should make Labor Day also, hopefully in my old project Corvette track car. I did buy a new car hauler (from a fellow racer who "upgraded" to a bigger one - LOL), so I won't have to fight putting the car on a "too small" open trailer - I had 3/4 inch from the rockers to the trailer fenders.

Mystery solved...

Sometimes I amaze myself at the things I do. If one temp switch is good, two must be better right?

Starting to lay out the new parts, trying to decide wire routing options.

Not TOO MANY wires to deal with... lol...

And just because it's beautiful

Showing air cleaner spacer that makes my housing meet the hood correctly on the Q-jet vs the new TBI.

Somehow I'm going to need to shave about an inch off of the front of spacer and tapered back to a 1/8" or so off the back half to make the housing meet the hood just right with the new setup.

Very nice! Longer intake runners should be worth some hp.

Very nice, that should be a good setup for you. I look forward to hearing how you like the setup.

I followed your install Dusty, that dash is awesome. Which distributor did you go with, the dual sync?

I may lean on you a bit once I start putting all the pieces together. There's not that many of us left doing these swaps on old SBCs...

.

I was looking @ the Edel ProFlo-4 for a sbc combo I have vs. all the parts swapping to go LS. I submitted a question asking which intake the kit was based off of to determine the height of the set-up. Your carb intake is a Perf RPM Q-jet correct? (I understand your new set-up above is diff vs the ProFlo-4)
