I'm from Belle Plaine, MN...A tiny little town 40 miles SW of Minneapolis. I live there with my wife Kelly, my 2 beagles, and my '65 GTO, '67 Chevelle wagon, '50 Buick Super, and custom '94 S-10. (We have daily drivers too, but who cares about them?)
I came here from the West Coast where I'd been the Tech Editor at Popular Hot Rodding for 7.5 years. Now I've been the founding Editor of Street Thunder magazine for the last two years.
I really like it here. Now, my wife is pregnant with our first child, who should be joining us in July. Between the magazine, the house, the wife, the dogs, and the baby on the way, I'm pretty busy...but I always try to find time for my cars.
Luckily, making progress on my cars counts as 'work' most of the time...which totally rules...

Born and raised in Duluth, MN and currently reside in Golden Valley, MN which is a suburb of Minneapolis. I work for the FAA at the Air Route Traffic Control Center in Farmington, MN. I maintain and certify the systems, hardware, and networks that process the radar and flight data information that gets displayed on the controller's screens. I also do some software maintenance on those systems.

I was born in Portland, Oregon (35 yrs. ago) but raised about 30 min. west in Hillsboro and I still live there....it just feels like home and it's a good place to raise my son. I've been married to Jennifer for 12.5 years and we have a beautiful 2 year old son Bryce, and yes he loves cars and tools!!
I'm the Finishing Supervisor for Roseway Partitions Inc. We do metal framing, insulation, sheetrock/taping, acoustical ceilings, and plastering. We are best know for our ability to perform our work dust free...this is not easy! We have done work for Telecommunication Co.'s and Hospitals for over 20 yrs. We also specialize in smooth wall but will spray texture if asked. I have been with the company for 20 yrs now, it's a living and I actually enjoy it, but sometimes think of making a career change....
When I'm not working for the company or at home with my family, I do a lot of side work to fund my Camaro project...yep and still find time to hang with you guys and gals!!

Andrew I thought you knew that,
Also refered as "Steele Eyed Missle Man" term from the 60's which the older guys/guy, now, calls me at times, I guess I'm getting to be the older guy in the shop,
It is fun at times but it's a governmet contract so there is a lot of BS, it's really neat to see the stuff we put in the Crew Module in use on TV, and in IMAX movies, ever get a chance to go to Spaceport USA, go for it,

My name is Mick McMahan. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am an independant Financial Advisor. Stocks, bonds and financial planning, helping people meet their goal of retirement or living thru retirement without going broke is my day to day life. I specialize in 401(k) and IRA rollovers (and start up plans) for car guys. Ninety percent of my clients are car guys or bike guys, the two seem to go hand in hand.
I have owned alot of rides but my 69 Camaro with fold down rear seat, molded door panels and 4 speed with gauge console would have never been sold if I had ever laid eyes on Big Red. Dam that Big Red keeps me awake at night, but that is just the deam side.
On the reality side I am working on a 67 Chevelle, big block and 4 speed, maybe turbos or something blow thru. A black 64 Coupe de Ville is close to being driven, except for a radio. I still own a one-ton Chevy fourwheel drive truck from my days of running a major fourwheel drive shop here in Albuquerque, 454 injected, Dana 60's (both ends) 40 inch boggers.
My daily driver is a 96 Impala SS. I call it a daily driver because it has only a handful of additions, 18 Corvette wheels being the only thing visable.
I have been in to cars since before I could drive. In junior high I was sneaking Hot Rod magazine in to my classes to read. I have been going to SEMA or SCORE for the last twenty years, but the forums seem to give me the most inspiration. The guys here are a wealth of information and ideas. I often snap 400 pictures at SEMA but the projects here make me get back out in the shop and get back to work.
Hey the market just turned positive I have got to go......
