Default 1970 cuda project devilfish

first off unsure of the name of the car.

ok well so ive done my intro and had a bit of time talk more about the car. so california car bought about 2 years ago slant 6 car with 3 speed manual. so far ive replaced the quaters, roof trunk rear tail panel, front floor board, and and made some of my own panels. the plan to have a mild street/autox, and roadrace car with and be able to daily drive it.

parts so far
XV Chassis stiffening kit
XV Level II Suspension both front and Rear
and all the sheet metal

Plans.
looks like im going to go with BAER brakes 14 front and 12 rears
Forgeline wheels GA3 or WC3
Fronts 18x9.5
Rears 18x12
5.7 hemi with mild upgrades possibly carbed.
then some sort of tranny stock 4 speed or a tremec 5 speed

more pics the whole back half mocked up, and the xv stuff tacked in waited till i got the c25 gas for my welder just got that last week. enjoy

Looks like a nice project!
Did you purchase the XV Suspension from the original XV company/owners or the new guy who bought the rights to the designs? Just wondering about the customer service and fit/finish if it's the new owner.

The original XV was some issues towards the end.

I actually purchased the suspension through the new guy Chris Reinhardt who is now the new owner. I did the rear suspension early last year as a test run and was very pleased with the results so far with the major stuff of welding the upper control arm buckets fit has been dead on and PERFECT. the k member is on its way this week sometime as well as the rest of the components but the pictures he sent me the k member looked flawless, awesome guy to deal with. as well as anytime I've need to talk to him day night or weekend I have been able to get a response back or within the hour so over all I am really happy with my decision. ill post pictures when the rest arrives.

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear the new owner is responsive. I look forward to seeing the front install. I had backed away from XV for my Challenger due to the previous issues but may have to reconsider.

i felt the exact same way for awhile, but couldnt really grasp on but the RMS set up or the AIR BAR from AirRide neither are bad parts just dont like the 4 link set up, so im glad i waited it out just finished welding up the front upper control arm buckets and stiffing stuff over the weekend suspension is in california just waiting to see when they want to schedule delivery.

Xv level 2 suspension install complete! Also finished up the rear body work of the car .

Looks good. A couple of questions. Does the XV have both camber and caster adjustment? Do you know what the hub to hub (face to face) width is? I originally bought my Fikse wheels set up for the RMS width and just wondering how close it is.

Wes,

camber caster, and hub to hub looks like 62 3/4 that's also sprung measurement I don't know if that will change at ride height I think it would? If your gunna spend the money I think going the xv set up is better in the long run just IMO. I just haven't seen the rms hit a road course, just autocross.
