Default 20" Rims on a 68 Camaro

Is anyone here running 20's on all four corners on a 67-69 camaro?

Sandro is. Maybe he'll chime in and give you some more info.

Bill, Sandro's car is a 69, not a 68 as he asked about. There was a 68 with 20's on it either this site or PT.com, but he pulled them off.

But didnt one of Sandro's friends have a 67 or 68 with 20's? There are probably some pictures floating around. Might be the same car you are talking about Mike. There might be some pics around here or I know Pro-touring.com I have seen them. I will look later if I can

My bad Mike, I thought he asked about first gens in general.

I believe his buddy Lui is/was running 20's on his '68 though.

Here is a pic from on of the guys on here and pro-tourings site, hope he doesnt mind me linking to it. Anyway, this is a 68 with 19" and 20", but there are two 69's on the site with 20's all around.

Check it out.

And the post title says 68' the post text says 67-69...so you are both right!

Lui is selling the 19/20 combo and now has a 20/20 combo on his '68.

Sandro should know all the sizes & backspacing.

I didn't catch the text, just the title. Since the wheel opening is shaped differently on a 67-8 then a 69, they can be harder to get those big wheels to fit correctly with a tire bigger than 26".

Rybar, do you have a better side shot of Lui's 68?

With the 68 camaro the biggest tire Lui could go with was 225/30R20 the rim is 20x8 5" back space. In the rear he went with 285/30R20 20x9.5 5 3/4" b/s. With the rear he had some problems with rubbing but the front no problems what so ever. If you notice in the pictures his car is is low as you can possibly go and the front works just fine, unless you hit a pot hole or some thing, then your going to have some problems.
