The premium bits are the only way to go. The double ended bits work but are delicate and fussy. spend the money and get the premium. Run them at slow speeds they will last alot longer. Also I use an 1/8 inch bit to place a pilot divot in the middle of the spot weld before using the cutter.

That's what i was thinking. I try not cheap out on tools because more often that not one ends up paying twice. Thanks for the 1/8" bit tip. I'll be giving the premium bits a try.
I use a single style cutter from www.hougenmfg.com called a Rotacut sheet metal cutter. I just put a dimple with a centerpunch in the middle of the weld( and sometimes do the drill thing ,too) and a few seconds later it's done. They're almost like the cutters shown on the bottom of your link. Most of the bodymen I know use the solid, drillbit style, as it doesn't leave as much metal in the center of the weld like the circular cutters do. Just a matter of preference, or experience, I guess.

I've not had good luck w/the double-ended ones at the bottom of the page. The one-piece worked better for me...
X2 i hate the ones in the bottom.. they always walk or loose the teeth right when they are not supposed to!
