Default Camaro Models

Most of you realize how much of a newb I really am, but here is the proof for those of you who did not.

I am wondering if there is any "major" difference between the 1st Gen Camaro Models. Are there any major differences?

Camaro
Camaro RS
Camaro SS
Camaro Z-28

As always, Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Well, just a rough overview...

An RS is an appearance package. You could order is with a 6 cylinder or with any of the performance packages (RS/SS, RS/Z, etc)
An SS is a performance package.
A Z was produced to compete in SCCA events. At the time, the displacement was limited to 5 liters. That's why Z's ONLY came with 302's and a 4 speed.

That's an extremely simplified version, there are guys that live and breathe for this stuff and you could spend years learning about them.
