Default I apologize for the site being down

A city wide power outage and failed backup generators bricked some of the servers. Fortunately we came through without damage, other than a much longer than anticipated shut down. Couldn't even get a page up letting you know what happened.

Talking Technology...

Technology is wonderful WHEN IT WORKS... I am glad to hear that you managed to get everything back up and running without data loss. I find it funny to acknowledge my addiction to Lat-G when it is down - I just feel lost and don't know how to cope LOL (!)

Anyway, great job of keeping everything appropriately backed up!

and ... that is the reason why datacenter servers, routers, storage arrays are mirrored offsite. Fall over to the DR facility should be transparent to the non-user.
DR can be costly to implement.

Even us lurkers are glad you are back.

Thank you Jody for all your hard work. The behind the scenes work you and others do to keep our P.T. car fix maintained is very much appreciated!

Im all to aware that just typing WWW.Lateral-G.net isn't all there is to it. I managed a gov backbone for many years and am glad I am retired. Too many calls at zero dark thirty to fix things.

Drinking coffee and scrolling through this awesome resource at the moment.
