We bought this abandoned project about a year ago and have been working on it off and on between customer projects in the shop. Car was fresh painted empty rolling shell with 90% of the orginal parts there, and is a numbers matching LM1. Plan was to finish the stock restore, flip it, and move on to the next one.
Well, if you believe in green being bad luck, this car has plenty of it. After issue after issue, I still have the vert and it is getting close to show season again. My plans were to build my '68 coupe for the '09 season, but at this point will not be done it time to hit alot of the shows we would like to be at.
So it was decided that I would build this Camaro for our '09 show car. We have been working with some of our vendors and several of the parts that were suppose to debut with the '68 coupe, will now be shown on the convertible. As you can see this car is about 85% done, and I have started tearing it back down for this build.
The car will have many of the products we sell, plus a few new ones. Here is a list of known plans:
Motor - retain numbers matching to shorten the build but will get an LSx before we are done.
Tranny - same thing. keep the th350 until upgraded same time as motor
wheels - New design Rushforth's that will debut on this car
suspension - undecided at this time
color - keeping the Fathom Green
Interior - top secret
Naturally it will have all the billet goodies we sell so much of. I will keep this updated as we progress. I was planning to take the car to Year One before they canceled, so now it will debut at the Motor State Challenge for those that plan to attend.
