Default wiring

Ok im about to start the wiring on my 69 Camaro I bought the American auto kit for the car it has a ls2 with a 6 speed. the engine harness came with the plug for the alternator but the car harness also has a wire for the alternator what do I need to do ??

I used the one in the engine harness.

X3 on engine harness plug

Double check that the "alternator" wire in your AAW kit is a reference wiring for a voltmeter gauge??

I don't have a copy of the AAW wiring diagram handy to verify that and last car was about a year ago

The one in the AAW kit simply runs from the alt to the starter which connects to the bat. That is also where the fuse panel picks up its power. You do away with that one so the ecm can control the alt.
