Arrow 2010 Camaro SS RoadRace Car

Hi Guys,

It's been a while since my last post but life has a tendancy to make me pretty busy.. In one of my other lives - I help this company building & driving racecars plus their website work..

I thought that this might be something that you folks were interested in - if nothing else - to see how the new Chevy Camaro is built (or in our case - UN-built).. One of our customers is having us build a new (and I mean NEW) racecar for him and I thought I would post a link to the website and some pics in case you were interested in watching Carriage House Custom Automotive's website and build progress..

This is going to be an exceptionally nice road race car that's being built to run wheel-to-wheel in NASA's American Iron series and hopefully we'll be able to get Homologation into the SCCA's American Sedan class as well..

So far all the neighborhood kids think we're working on Transformer's Bumblebee Camaro..

She oughta be a handful when completed...

Here's just a few pictures for starters;

Hi Guys,

We just blew past our Bandwidth limit on the website this afternoon. I'm trying to get our service moved up to the next tier but it may be offline until Monday..

The original Engine, Trans and Rear-end/suspension are going back in after we finish the chassis. The engine will get a custom set of headers and probably a tune. We may end up pulling the TR6060 trans and installing another ""lighter" one like the TKO600.

First thing is to get all the sound deadener out of it and get the cage built - then it's on to suspension mods..

We get a lot of questions like - Why not start with a BIW?
Actually when you start with a BIW, it's nothing more than just the body. To purchase the engine and driveline as well as all the suspension, wiring harness, ECU, etc - well - you end up paying a substantial amount over what the dealer will sell you the car for... Another Plus is that the car has a VIN. Not that having a VIN is important to a Race-Only car such as this one, but with all the racecars being stolen. stripped and sold for parts, it makes sense to have most of those parts stamped with the VIN.
