The ProLine Portable Pneumatic Planishing Hammer is designed for forming and smoothing compound curves in sheet metal. It is used in many industries, including automobile and aircraft restoration, race car fabrication, sheet metal stamping shops, artistic applications, etc. A ProLine planishing hammer takes the work out of metal work and saves the metal worker hours of time, leading to increased production.
One huge advantage with the design of the ProLine hammers is the foot pedal activation. By pressing the foot pedal down once the material is in place, you bring the dies together and start the air motor in one step. This not only allows for easy removal of your part when open, but gives very precise control of the pressure and allows for feathering off at the end of a shape. This is not possible with most planishing hammers that have a fixed die gap.
This portable unit features a heavy cast base that absorbs vibration and gives a stable work platform while the tip back wheels make it easy to move around the shop. The purpose built air motor head can be easily removed to fit an optional hand-held yoke or this unit can be converted to a hand-held hammer for use off of the mounting stand with an optional hand trigger. ProLine hammers use CP style tooling.
ProLine planishing hammers are completely fabricated in the USA. If you are looking for quality, then you have found the finest planishing hammers made.
