Hello my name is Cody I'm 25yrs old I have a 1968 Charger that I'm building. Last April of 2007 my Dad was diagnosed with a Gleoblastoma brain tumor the worst of the worst. He passed away less than two months later in June. It was the biggest loss I have ever had. He meant so much to me, we were great friends.
My Dad was into muscle cars his whole life and he did his own work on them. My first car was a '74 Nova and I paid $400 for it and my Dad and I did the work (mostly him because I was learning). He put $13.72 into the gas tank to test drive to make sure it was safe, but the rest was all my money. I learned a lot from my Dad and with inheritence money I wanted to do something to honor my Dad. I felt that he didn't sacrifice himself for me to blow the money on a new bass boat, truck, and BS toys, I would rather buy those with money that I earned. So I bought what I thought was the King Kong of muscle cars and build the crap out of it myself.
The plans for the car are making the interior look as original as possible except the added tach where the clock goes, which redline installed and made my gauge cluster looks amazing they did an awesome job. Also I'm putting in a Tilt colum with the Rappid wheel from flamming river. The interior will be black as well as the exterior paint. My theme is blacked out and that goes for the trim and maybe the bumber, but I'm not sure yet. I will put a gun metal RT stripe with the words In memory of my DAD. The motor is a stroked 440 to 500 built by FBO Systems and that's the only thing I'm not doing since I have never done that. Converting to a 5speed from Classic Mopar 5speed. Reilly motorsports front Altercation with Ride Techs 4link using adjustable coilovers. Willwoods 13" drilled slotted up front 12.25 inthe rear using 6 piston and 4 piston calipers. I will be using a Dana 60 with a power lock. And for the Ice on the car Concept one from Jason Rushforth 20x10 in the rear and 19x8 upfront blacked out centers with a gunmetal hoop. The wheels are sweet and Jason was very good to work with he has alot of great ideas. Every one that I have went through to get these parts have been great and I would reccomen them all. I have so much more to say, but I want to keep it short so you don't get board. Thank you

That's a great outline of the project and it sounds like a killer car in the making...your dad is looking down on you with a big proud papa smile!!!
My father and I have built several cars together since I was a kid... I think I'll call him in a few just to bug him.
