Default More on Backspacing

I have a stock suspension 1969 camaro and want to move up to some 17 inch wheels ... I seen a few posts about backspacing but wanted to hear from someone who has already used this set-up.

I'm thinking 17X8.5 up front with 5.5 BS
and 17X10 out back with 5.75 BS

The car has already been lowered 2 inches in front and 3 outback (hotchis) ... just looking to stuff as much rubber as I can without cutting up the body or installing mini tubs ...

Thanks for your help .

I think those will be pretty tight, especially in the rear.
