Default Sample of my work

I just signed up here because of all the great work I saw while poking around. There is a lot of talent here, and I hope to get some good tips. While I do build model cars, I am trying to get back into drawing cars again. While I do free hand renderings for a local architect, I really enjoy cars. I recently decided to combine both. I did a rendering of a model I built last year. I have to figure out the photoshop thing, but for now, this is what I do. Markers, colored pencils & pastels. The scans never look as good as the original, but this one is the best so far. I would love to hear your comments.
First, the sketch.

Now the model.

It's funny, I looked at the rendering before I read the intro. The first thing I thought was that it looked like most architectural renderings. It has a cool watercolor look to it and is unmistakable for art rather than a just a photo.

Perspective looks pretty good but the front tire looks a little thin when compared to the rear.

Keep posting work, we love to see automotive art!

Thanks for the comments. Ben- yea, the front tire is really thin. I would have made it thicker (I probably will go back and thicken it up,) it is just so thin on the model.
Black- Here are some more photos. I need updated photos since the bar is now attached. I found it after I finished it and wasn't sure if I liked or not, but it has definetly grew on me. so here are some more...

Very nice model and artistic style.
I was wondering how much of that car is pastel? Is it mostly marker and color pencils?

I think I use to much pastels and I should try to use more markers. It seems Chip Foose uses more markers than airbrush/pastel look?
I don't know.

Thanks
Al

Thanks Al. to answer your question, with this being a silver car, I didn't use too much in the way of pastels. I am actually try to start using a little more. I also usually use more colored pencils too, but I was just trying to do something quick. You should post some of your stuff, I would like to see it.
