Default Ready for Race Rodz!

After I got the sub-frame media blasted I spent a few weeks of WAY late nights stitch welding the frame halfs together, A/C compressor notch finished, cleaned up factory welds, body worked, and painted. On the bottom of the car I cleaned up all the welds from the mods I did, body worked it a bit and got it into paint...this was after I stripped it all to bare metal by hand, I'll never do that again!

I then installed the frame and welded it to the DSE SFC's. Then finished mounting the last of the parts on the fire wall, hung the sheet metal and loaded it on a trailer just in time to take it to Chris (race rodz) for the Aug. 11drop off dead line. Drove 600 miles yeasterday, but I know it's in good hands! It was a ton of work for me to do in a few weeks, I'm tired and am looking forward to spending the rest of the summer with my family and hitting a few camp grounds. It's all up to you now Chris!!

You might think about putting some undercoating in the wheel wells and other parts. I know after having such a nice undercarriage the thought of undercoating probably makes you grim. I did the same thing and am definetly going to undercoat the wheel wells as I know the paint will just get chipped and plus it makes nasty tinny noises when driving through gravel or anything loose in the road.

Subframe looks killer! Whose rack and pinion kit did you use?
