had a little problem on my way to pic up the wife from work,

that my friends is what happens when to much horse power meets a worn rear u-joint getting on the freeway at 75 KABLUEY!!!! oh my goodness what a sound, scared the poop out of me , 2k on the new tranny and now time for a new one, driveshaft is gone and the engine sounds funny now

I've seen alot of twisted driveshafts, but I've never seen a tailhousing break off like that!

Good thing your car didn't make like a pole vaulter.....Bad juju can happen when it breaks off at that end...glad you are OK.

That's where a drive shaft loop becomes invaluable.

Actually.. that is pretty crazy.. you would think there would be weaker places for a break to happen.. must of been cracked to begin with or something..

As said, glad it didn't go worse for you (pole vault)

Will an H-pipe/X-pipe exhaust function as a driveshaft loop in this case? I've wondered about this since I didn't make a provision for a loop...
