I have had a few people ask me if that was my car on eBay...yes it is. I had my friend that lives in Ms. to list it for me.
Why do I have it up for sale? The project took on a life of its own. I started out 6 years ago to build a nice driver that I could take to track days, drag strip, Maxton Mile and terrorize the streets. What I ended up with was car car that has all of the pieces that I would use for the above events, but way too nice paint and way too much NOS sheet metal.
The sage advice of Frank from Prodigy told me a few months back...it is just paint, that can be re-shot. Which he is 100% correct. So here is the deal, I figured that I would put the car up for sale in a few places. If it sells, I am happy because I will have another 69 project in my garage within a month with a much shorter build time. If it does not sell, I am happy because I just spent 6 years building this car and now I am going to drive the piss out of it. Either way I win, which is a good thing.
I commend Steve Rupp for what he is about to do to Penny (his car not the new copy assistant) and I may be doing the same thing very soon. I do not want to be wondering 2 years from now when the car is not fresh and wore from abuse if maybe I could have sold it and done this to another not so nice car.
There you have it, the cat is out of the bag, so to speak.
I will keep you posted on what is going on. I believe the auction is ending this Sunday and I have a person from NC coming to look at the car tomorrow.

I don't know how long you have pondered this decision but damn I hate to see you sell if before you enjoy it some. Once she gets a few imperfections here and there the newness will wear off and you may just change your mind. By the way the car looks great on fleabay.
Good luck.
I tried to rush and get it on eBay while BJ was going so the pictures posted are old. I have not had the weather to get new ones...as in with the front bumper actually on the car. Put it on last night and it is a little rainy here today.
digital camera does not do that great of a job and I only snap pictures when I drive it to work. Steve I will make you a deal, fly into Charlotte and come to the Year One event. You can stay with me and we will ride down for the weekend. On second thought, for a little ink I may have to buy you a plane ticket and get you the first shots of Jimmy Johnson's 67 camaro.
I thought the auction ended last night...I guess it ends tonight.
I drove it a lot this weekend and had a ball, not that I have never NOT enjoyed driving it. I still have not gotten use to all of the attention the car gets. People honking horns and yelling all of the time makes me think I am about to be hit, so it gets me a little jumpy. A quick gas stop turns into a 30 minute question and answer session. The corvette runflats are useless in 1st and 2nd gear.
I really enjoy the building process almost as much as the final product. I think a lot of you on the board are the same way. Everyone wants to see updated build pics during the build, after it is done everyone is ready for the new latest and greatest build, myself included.
I doubt that it is going to sell and I am only listing it this one time. So plan on seeing me at Year One, Power Tour and RTTH 3.
I am already planning a few upgrades for next winter! It is a sickness I tell you.
