I heard it went to $300 but Doug had a $350k reserve on it so he kept it.

I was interested in custom "quality" market away from BJ circus...at least that's close to cost from what I remember Mike telling me...

yeah, it just didn't seam like a good year for custom cars. I think people felt better spending on cars in stock form...big change from a year ago.

I think the money on Dougs car was to get close to the reserve, but I think the money was hyped by the assistants and was not real. Awesome car, he was telling about when they did the TV show shoot for it and he was having so much fun, he almost lost control a few times and he was smiling from ear to ear. The man drives the #$#@% out of his cars!

I went to Russo Steele early on sunday and was able to check out Reactor up close before any crowds had showed. Truly a very well built car and I'm glad i got the oppurtunity to see it in person. It was kind of surreal to be walking along the rows of cars and there it was, just sitting there unnattended. Overall there was some nice cars at Russo and Steele. I talked to a couple of sellers. One guy was trying to move his "Eleanor" mustang at $80k and didnt reach it and it looked like a nicer ride than the one I saw at BJ sell for $130k. So I guess it all depends on whose there at the time of bidding.

Barrett J seems to be for the guys who like the fully showroom stock cars. I think the pro-touring cars take a beating in price at BJ. I myself like the idea of new tech in an old car versus the stockers.
