Default Any tips for recovering a center console?

I have been "refining" my center console, it had a cup holder that would only hold a soda can, so I decided to tear it out and get a larger cup holder in there... Well while I was at it I decided to make it a little longer overall so I can run the A/C controls in the console rather than in the gloxebox part of the center console..... Since I made it about 4" longer now I need to recover it with vinyl. I have already glassed it in place and then covered it with foam, and wrapped it pretty good with the sheet foam. Now I have to cover it, any tips you can recommend? I have done speaker boxes, door panels, etc. But nothing that has this many bends around the globe box area in the console itself....

Here's a couple of what I am looking at doing. I want to cover it in Black vinyl. I have done a couple test fits without the super 77, of course. Where the console rounds out and needs to tuck in is where I am having the biggest problem. As you can see there is a pocket that goes there and is a tight fit now without the vinyl there. When i do the test fit, I can not get it to sit in place because around the bend it gets crumpled together. I know I have some extra fabric there, but what is the best way to smooth it out and not make it look like crap...

There is also a sneak peak of the final console.. I think... It's changed 4x already but before the changes were always cosmetic this time I made it about 4" longer and added a bigger cupholder...

I'm still working on this part but I might as well ask, rather than reinvent the wheel. Is there a way to mount the center peice without using screws coming from the top? I really want it to look smooth on the center section

Thanks for the help...
