Default t-56 noise

guys got an 01 t-56, with upgraded shift forks, and syncros. just tonight coming home from dinnner when i shut motor off the tranny made a horrible rattling sound, by pushing clutch in during shut off it is still there.
any ideas? gonna put it on the lift tomorrow but that wont do much good as i have a mcloed scattershield on it,
could it be input shaft bearing?
drives and shifts normal, even when shifted hard at 6000 rpm.
ideas?
