Unhappy Hurricanes and Labor Day

Well today begins the wonderful fun of trying to decide whether to evacuate, stay in my home, move my cars or not. (and with the electrical issues my Mustang has that is a challenge) I think it may be time to move.

So much for a nice peaceful Labor Day. Good luck to any members in MS, LA or TX. I have to go back to work, looks like we are going to ride this one out.

Wish us luck guys.

Good luck. Today for me is going to be spent cleaning the garage so I can fit two cars in it so they will atleast be protected. I'm lucky enough to be in the Spring/Woodlands area of Texas so I'm a little ways away from the coast.

I saw better safe then sorry. We just did this last week. Absolutly crippled us at the shop jaming everything in, could not work. Then water rose 8 feet on the river at out home, got within inches of flooding the house, where the cars are! I got 2 cars out before the water got to high, and ended up with 2 of the best cars traped in the garage and the water up the the side moldings on my 4 X 4 truck in the street.

Get your stuff out. Gives you a chance to clean up when you move back in.

All ya'll on the Gulf Coast, please be safe then sorry. This looks like a monster!

Well, just sitting here in my living room watching the trees blow and listening to the wind beating on my roof. The storm died down a little just before it hit the coast, but it's still supposed to get pretty bad where I'm at (Baton Rouge) since we'll be on the east side of the eye wall. I just hope that my new metal roof on my shop holds up.

One good thing...it's a LOT cooler today than it has been!
