Default wanted 5.3 on extreme budget

I would like to drop a 5.3 in to my 69 c10 but I only have about $2,000 a welder and an ability to adapt and overcome. I grew up on a farm so I am very hands on and worked at a restoration shop before I joined the marine corps. The biggest hurdle that I can forsee is the electrical. There is a guy I can get an entire wrecked truck from with a good engine and tranny for about 600 bucks. However I won't be able to start on it until feburary when I get back home. Thanks for any help.

If you can pick up the truck for 600 then i would say get it you can get the motor in the truck on your budget.
