Default AVANTI's

May go look at an R-2 supercahrged Avanti, rust free, runs etc. All mechanics good, needs paint.

Any idea what it may be worth ? Any ideas to make a PT rat rod out of it ?

I really don't need another car but if price is right........

Brad

PS Seller may have a sunbeam tiger too, but I am sure that will be priced too high

These are extremely "niche" collector cars. You might want to post as much info as possible on one of the Studebaker forums, I'm sure there will be plenty of folks there that can tell you a lot.

I would be concerned primarily that the car you are looking at is not missing ANY parts, since you will have an extremely difficult time locating replacements.

A real supercharges Avanti is probably worth a few coins. Very rare too, so I wouldn't want to chop one up. If you want to make a cool Avanti, pick up a decent Avanti II. Not worth as much, and I think they came with Corvette suspension, though I could be wrong.

Shiny Side Up!
