Default painting floor pan question

I am thinking about pulling up my carpet and spray painting my floor pan with some rustoleum paint just to seal it.is there any reason this would be a bad idea?

if you're going to do all that, clean and prep the floors and put some Rust Bullet or POR-15, it's much better than cheap rustoleum
