Default Tattoo Ideas 1/2 sleeve already

Ok guys I am trying to find a fill in or back ground for my half sleeve I already have in works. I wanna do something with old signs car/mechanic related because my 1/2 sleeve is Tools from sockets, screwdriver, crows foot, bolts, spark plug etc on my left upper arm. I was thinking maybe old school Macto tools or logo from companies that I have used on my car (bet Frank would die at Prodigy) something just really cool to fill in behnd all the tools. I will try to post a pic this weeken but no jokes on my arm size (I know I got pie shooters but I can work on cars alot easier then most with big @$$ arms . So let me know any ideas or old school stickers you might wanna donate to take to my artist. Brandon

Heya Brandon , im a tattoo artist here in Australia.....My advice is dont get contemporery brandnames , pretty cheesy old hotrod logos are kool , say like' the mooneyes logo or mr horsepower , chequered flags are good, ace of spades, dice, flames, another kool idea is stars with no outline and shade background instead of the actual stars in a colour that makes your art standout. You can use other shapes instead of stars too. Iron cross shape or chev logo (bowtie) instead of stars. Just a coupla qwik ideas. stick a pic up and ill see what else i can suggest.

Cheers, Gav

Traditional pinstripes to fill always look cool, and they can be used around existing art or even stand on their own. They could serve to tie your whole piece together, if done correctly.

Without seeing pics of what you have I'd suggest you go with something similar to what has already been suggested... the stars and maybe some tradiational dot fill could work. Important thing will be going with simple designs and colors to make your current work "pop" instead of just cluttering you arm. Post up pics and we'll see what we can come up with.

Traditional pinstripe. I'd stay away from company logos, etc. I'm pretty old school traditional when it comes to my half sleeves (I have one dragon koi fish, and on the other arm, a phoenix, both traditional Japanese style). If it were me doing something like your tool theme, I think a pinstripe background would look good.
