Default New PT project at Musclerodz 69 Camaro drop top

This gem was dropped off today. Not really a rescue job, the paint was nice except for a few areas and the crooks and crannies are not detailed. Otherwise paintjob is solid and will make a good base for the new job. We will be staightening out the gaps, undercoat the bottom of the car with Raptor, installing DSE firewall plate and repainting the car. We should also be dressing it out with a pile of billet goodies as well. Not a full build for us but should keep us busy for a few weeks. Owner is in the automotive chemical business, which means this toy will be at trade shows and car shows around the country promoting their products.

For those that will probably ask, motivation is monster 496.

Sometimes the simpliest project are more fun! Looks nice, Mike. Keep us posted! Rare to see big block in there vs the LS craze going on. Can't beat the HP and wieght of the LS but there is a lot to be said for those big valvecovers! I like it!

Hard to beat Lemans blue on these cars! But I do have a certain blue code that looked good...just depends on the build plans/design!

I think it is going to be BMW blue. THe blue on it now is suppose to be Lemans blue, but has a pearl in it that flops some

I wish I could finish mine convertible as well. Been sitting for 6 months now just waiting for a slot to open. All that is left is to paint it (again) and final assembly.

Small update, we got the deck area and trunk gaps close but not final. Below is a before and after pic. Also found out previous painter used bondo for seam sealer on the tail panel, bad juju and already cracking. So I am digging all that out and fixing it.

Today some of the jewelry showed up so we can do final fitting of the tail lights, deck lid, and hood. More to come soon.
