here's a build thread I started...the car is pretty clean already, I just want to give it a shave and hair cut- Pro-touring style on a light budget- had the exhaust fixed today and put some magnaflows on it.

I just picked up an LS2 I really, really want to do another full build on a first gen- your car is a big inspiration- so I will tweak this one and have it up for sale pretty quick to finance another build- have a good weekend- Chris

that will fit with room to spare... theres people who run 315s on these cars without being tubbed and low too, what size tires you gonna run it the back? 305s?

10" wide wheels and 315 rubber will fit nicely if you nail the b/s and beat in the rear seatbelt mount on the tunnel with a BFH...

An 8" wheel w/255/40 rubber fits with plenty of room to spare,I know Mary Pozzi runs a 275 tire in front,I'm sure a 9" wheel would work if you can find them...or have Jay R build you some.

I wouldn't take any chance of a tire rub with a flip.

Default Falken 615 Series

Falken makes a 295/40/18 now too! That's what we're using on the back of my 71 Firebird... it's right at 27" tall.
