Question Slotted/Drilled Rotors

Hey guys/gals.
I have a couple of questions. I want to buy some Baer rotors/pads for both the front/rear of my daily driver. Now, if I get the slotted/drilled rotors, will those wear away my pads quicker than if I went with oem, flat style style rotors?
Or, if I get just the slotted rotors, will those wear away less than the slotted/drilled rotors?
Now, the main reason I ask is, they are going on my daily driver, a '05 Dodge Ram Daytona. I don't want to be going through brake pads every thousand miles or so.
I appreciate your info guys!! Thanks!!

Short answer, yes, any slotting and/or drilling will accelerate the wear of your brake pads somewhat. As a dealer for DBA (Disc Brakes Australia), their testing has shown an average of of 10% increase in wear for their slotting and XS drilled & slotted rotors. I can't speak for Baer, but I would imagine that it's something similar.

I had the BAER Eradispeed kit on my F150 and really liked it. As far as I can tell there was no noticeable difference in break wear.

I did buy the BAER pads too, because the factory ones left brake dust like crazy.

If you don't already have an outlet for the Baer stuff, let me know. Happy to get them for you.

Hey John. I did see that you were a supplier. I was going to order through you if I do get them. Not sure now though. I don't want to be changing brake pads every 10 miles or so, pardon the pun, because of the slotted/drilled rotors.
Thanks. (I may be in touch with you in the future though.)

Not worth it. Napa Ultra Premium rotors and call it a day.

Honestly, you probably will not even notice a difference in break pad wear at all. Plus, if I remember right, BAER has a lifetime warranty on their rotors against warping.

I'm not so worried about the rotors, I just don't want to be changing brake pads every couple of months.
I know that Baer make some good products though!
