Default another new guy, prolly not what you are used to...

hey, was just reffered to the site by chris holstrom( youthpastor)...

couple years back i picked up a datsun 510 from jarod hancock of j-rods customs fame after sellin my 510...right when i saw it, i knew it was right up my alley, i am a import guy, but love domestic powerplants..

jarod has set this car up very nicely, 4 link, coilovers, metalwork etc.

is a very very good base to start with...

as the years past it killed me to watch this car sit as i finished or started a few other projects, i came close to selling it on 4 occasions, but backed out everytime knowing i would not be able to do something like this again w/o killin my bank account...

now i have sold pretty much every other car i had, and am down to this one project now...so the green light is on and i will finish it and drive it to the goodguys show next year...

anyways, the car is set up for a ford motor...i have built a forged 306 motor for a twin turbo application, hav eseveral other parts for it, just need to start some assembly...plans are to do a mustang 2 front suspension, twin 60-1's , dfi v7 management and whatever else is needed...should be afun lil car when done...

i am mainly building this car for shock value...i wanted something i could take to the goodguys hot rod show and not be the typical car seen there...

sorry for the long intro, but that is most of it...

thanks
eddie

VERY COOL!! I am a huge fan of the 510s. I had one years ago that I used to run down at the Boeing Space Center in Kent. They used to do SCCA autocross events there in the back parking lot. (very long time ago) Mine was a 4door with the back doors welded shut and a wide body kit on it. Full cage, no interior. Not quite street legal, but didn't run it too much outside the track. I used to piss off Porche guys on 405 on occasion. LOL!! I ran a Datsun motor though. Your twin turbo V8 should really make it fly! Nice looking Jetta too.

Welcome to the forum, and as Chris said, if I need any cluster or speedo work done I'll be in touch!
Keep the pics coming!

Nice smokey with the old Jetta!

But, isn't the smoke suposed to come from the REAR wheels?
Just kidding ya! Looking forward to seeing that 510 come together. Cool cars!
