Retrofitting fuse relay box

I would like to try to install a newer style fuse relay box, like something from a new GM (trailblazer, camaro, whatever) into my 68 GMC pickup and mount the fuse box under the hood and use relays from my fuel injection system and feed those into the new box.

Any ideas here or is this just a huge headache?
