Default external or internal flexplate

I have a mark iv 454 engine. I don't know if I need a internal or external flexplate. The block# 14015445. Any help will be good. Thanks dave

Normally external, unless it was purposely built for an internal balance.

what he said...but you can tell by looking at the crank if it has a counterweight on the flywheel end or not (and the old flywheel/flexplate will give it away too)
