I know a few guys Pete, Jake and maybe a few others are using Standox. Has anyone been able try the the new 15-60 plus clear yet? I figured most are using the premium clear. The 2k primers and sealers seem to work great and love the way basecoat covers. What's everyone using for resto work?Thanks for your time. Joe

Joe not to change the subject but last time we spoke on the phone we were talking about the SPI clear and that you were getting really good results...are you still using that? I have not tried it yet. And Mario what do you like about the Standox clear so far?

joe the 15-60 is a collision clear, with only a 15 min bake needed, it rocks out extremely fast, really need to nib and buff it out of booth and ship it.
I use the standox hs clear for old car stuff, sands and buff easily, and can be sanded and buffed 3 weeks later like it was just sprayed. even the premium rocks out and is a nightmare to buff out.
there base coats are killer, just wait till you use there basecoat colorless.
they have a real nice 007 flat clear and a satin clear as well.

Sorry it took so long to get back to ya !! First any of there clears you use lay's like a dream.. Buffing is effortless. It's not a very finicky clear,not hard to use..

while they do all lay nice, you need to be careful, there are clears made for restoration and clears made for collision.
There collision clears you can sand and buff once they cool down out of the booth, while there hs clear even baked you need to let sit 1-2 days.
2-3 coats of there hs clear you can sand 800-2500 and buff. burn thrus are non existent if you watch the edges.
